Design decisions

Makhsoos Coffee at West Walk reinterprets traditional Middle Eastern warmth through a contemporary lens, creating a space that feels both authentic and elevated. The design embraces natural textures and raw finishes—stone walls, timber beams, and hand-crafted surfaces— balanced with refined furniture in earthy tones and muted greens. Organic forms in the bar and ceilings evoke a sense of fluidity, while woven pendant lights and patterned textiles introduce artisanal character. The two-level layout offers a variety of seating, from intimate corners to communal tables, fostering connection and comfort. Bathed in natural light, the café blurs indoor and outdoor boundaries, celebrating heritage while offering a modern gathering place that resonates with the community.
